Poison & Bear Fires in Sierra National Forest

Posted by admin on August 7, 2012

The incident commanders reported that the Bear and Poison Fires near Bear Creek are still separated by a ridge.  They combine for about 170 acres, up from 35 acres yesterday, in dense fuels.  This fire would account more for the heavy concentration of smoke in the Round Valley and Crowley Basin areas than the Clear Fire reported in the previous blog post.  As yet, there is not a source of online updates for the fire, but that will be forthcoming.
