Current information on the Meadow Fire in Yosemite can be found at and now  Below are satellite images of the smoke plumes on the first day and then days later.  The fire’s intensity has dropped off considerably and wind patterns are keeping most of the smoke on the west side of the Sierra crest.  This pattern will last through the weekend, but we can still expect some of the smoke to spill over into Mono County and northern Inyo County.

Yosemite National Park deployed a PM2.5 monitor to Lee Vining and there was an existing USFS one at Devil’s Postpile.  Below is a chart of the hourly data from both sites, which will be updated frequently.  Cautionary and health effect statements for the color-coded categories are available at
