Marina Fire’s Smoke Data

Posted by admin on June 27, 2016

The District deployed a portable monitor in Lee Vining to assess the Marina Fire’s smoke impact to the community, as measured in fine particulate matter (PM2.5).  The smoke only got into the “marginal” air quality range the first night and early next morning, June 24th and 25th.  This is well below the 100 microgram per cubic meter level for a Stage 1 health advisory for smoke.  See http://www.gbuapcd.org/healthadvisory/pressrelease.htm for details on health advisory levels.  Updates on the Marina Fire are still available at http://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/4809/.  For current air quality conditions Click Here and then Generate Plots.Marina PM2.5
